Voxtrot is breaking out their new LP on May 22 of 2007, and I’m pretty pumped. The new Self titled, 11 track LP will be released on CD and also the legendary LP format. Beggars Group and Playlouder are the labels that will let this beastly album run wild.

I found a video on iFilm about the development of the new Voxtrot album. It’s embeded below. (Stop reading if you don’t want me to spoil it for your viewing pleasure)
The band said that before they laid the tracks they were excited to finally be able to record. They said that every song and measure was analyzed to death, unlike their old releases. Voxtrot thinks it’s a good thing, and I’m hoping they’re right.

Voxtrot is also looking to show that they have a more mature sound that shows they “aren’t just a pop band.” Cool, I guess. Atleast I hope it’s a better change, because I would hate to see them screw up what’s been working for them.
